WHO WE ARE
At Next Door, we seek to be good neighbours. We gather to build a community rooted in trust, respect, and belonging. We work hard to meet the needs of our neighbourhood — providing nutritious meals each week, both on-site and through our distribution partners across Halton. Together, we’re creating a place where everyone is welcomed, known, and cared for.
OUR HISTORY
As a ministry of Forestview Church, we first opened our doors in 2012 as an outgrowth of our work with the Compassion Society and Motel Ministry. Originally located alongside the Compassion Society, we moved to our current site in 2015, becoming a true “next door” neighbour to the Warwick Surrey community.
From the very beginning, we have proudly hosted Rolling Horse Community Cycle, Burlington’s non-profit bike shop. In the fall of 2017, we expanded into the adjoining unit and opened Next Door Community Kitchen — a welcoming space for learning healthy cooking and sharing food with one another.

Angie Crichton
- SITE DIRECTOR
As the site director Angie first came to us as a volunteer helping plant our original location in 2012. The full story of how Angie came to us is one worth hearing about, so be sure to ask! Angie loves God, family, people and healthy eating. You’ll see each of those on display when you visit her at Next Door. Angie has two children, Josiah and Aliah, and is married to Dave. As a community missionary, Angie is responsible to raise a portion of her own support. Payton Frappier
- SOCIAL ENTERPRISE MANAGER
Payton Frappier was born and raised in Fergus Ontario, and left to attend business school at Laurentian University in Sudbury. Shortly after beginning to date Kiara, his now wife, she suggested they attend church together. This was Payton’s first time ever attending a church service, but it changed the trajectory of his life; a short time later he would dedicate his life to the Lord through baptism. After graduating from business school, Payton spent a few years working in marketing within the private sector. Through a season of prayer and fasting, Payton realized God was calling him to leave his secular career path and focus on building His kingdom. Payton was blessed with an opportunity at Forestview Church as Social Enterprise Manager for Next Door Social Space. Payton is married to Kiara and they have two beautiful sons, Ryker and Wilder.
